At Tortillis group we know we do not know everything, which is why we rely on a mix of our own staff and trusted partners to deliver the most effective engagements, be it for training, coaching, project definition and launch, or other aspects of undertaking your agile journey.Below are introductions to some of the people we work with. They are all excellent people, at the top of the industry in what they do.

Paul Ellarby, Founder

Paul has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry, in functions ranging from developer and Business Analyst, to VP of a large global company. While all of this experience is extremely useful (there are not many situations I have not seen before), my real joy is in getting IT development organizations to deliver products and programs quickly and effectively. I have found that using agile and lean techniques greatly helps in this, and introducing effective techniques to delivery teams has become my passion.

Stevie Borne, Principal Consultant

Stevie is a seasoned Agile Coach and trainer who has been working with Agile teams for over 15 years. She’s played various roles on a team including: engineer, Product Manager, Project Manager, ScrumMaster and Coach. She is a passionate teacher that enjoys teaching people about the human side of teams and helping teams unlock the mystery of how to improve the ways they communicate with one another. Stevie is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Certified Scrum Professional (CSP). In addition she is an Adjunct Professor of Leadership Development at Bethel Seminary, St. Paul.

Lonnie Weaver-Johnson

Lonnie brings nearly 25 years of experience in Management, Business Analysis, Training, and Agile Coaching to her consulting work and Scrum training classes. She persuades individuals and teams to grow by using her supportive and candid feedback style. She is an exceptional facilitator and her classes are high energy and interactive; fostering a healthy learning environment. She’s worked with offshore teams for 10+ years and knows what works. She’s worked with organizations who mandated Scrum with strict roll out dates and others who allowed teams to choose whether they wanted to use Agile practices or not. She’s experienced with leaders who fully supported Agile yet didn’t understand and with leaders who made significant changes to support success. Lonnie is an accomplished Certified Scrum Trainer, leading Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner workshops.

Kelley Harris

Kelley is a software Developer with 20+ years of hands-on software development experience. He loves creating innovative products that move the needle and help the world, and is steeped in principles & practices from Agile/Lean and Lean Startup. He is excited to help entrepreneurs and investors evaluate & validate products and features, to optimize investment, as well as helping innovative teams keep the process simple and essential, and get on with thrilling customers.

In addition to be a great coach, Kelley is a Certified Scrum Trainer, conducting workshops to bring an understanding of Scrum, and the CSM title, to those practitioners who want this acknowledgement of their skills.

Greg Smith

Greg Smith devotes his career to envisioning, building, and running world-class software engineering organizations for a wide variety of fortune 50’s & numerous start-ups. Born in rural Kansas and educated at UMKC, Greg’s career has taken him from Kansas City to the world’s most eminent technology centers in Silicon Valley, Raleigh-Durham, Tokyo, Hyderabad& NYC. For example, as the Chief Software Architect at Fairfield Language Technologies (RosettaStone) he built and led Agile software development teams in the construction of the largest (in 2007) commercial international, multilingual, multicurrency Ruby on Rails web presence. He spent 6 year with ThoughtWorks, implementing large and small scale Agile / Scrum practices and coaching teams.

Greg is a long-time Certified Scrum Trainer, leading Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner workshops.
